Well, once West Bengal BJP led by Rahul Sinha is done with their rejoice for rescuing Rumeli Kar, let me put a few facts which have, otherwise, been kept away from people in general. So, let me put these chronologically -
Today, early in the morning, Tapan Ghosh, President of Hindu Samhati went to Nabanna, for making a representation to the Chief Secretary regarding abduction of Rumeli Kar.
Later, somebody from the corridor of power established contact with Raj Kumar Pandey, district level influential leader of TMC.Raj Kumar Pandey, along with local TMC leader Gora Pathak, who has been in touch with the family since the day of abduction, called local police station and insisted on recovery of Rumeli Kar.
By then, Tapan Ghosh also called the local police station and demanded recovery of the victim. Under pressure from the ruling party and Hindu Samhati, police pulled his socks up and applied pressure over the family of the abductor to track the girl.
Later in the evening, father of the abductor called the family of the victim and the girl was returned to the family.
Reading so far, you must be wondering, if this has been the case, how can West Bengal BJP can claim credit for the recovery of the girl! Here is the twist - as per police record, Rajib Bhowmik, district president of BJP, has called the police station only on single occasion and as per family of the victim, neither Rajib Bhowmik nor anybody from BJP, has ever established any communication with them.
Now, two basic questions - 1) Why ruling party helped in the recovery? 2) Why BJP tried to take the credit for the recovery?
The answer of the first question is the way Hindu Samhati has mobilized support of Hindus all over the world for recovery of Tuktuki Mandal, TMC apprehended occurrence of such case shall be detrimental to their political game plan. Hence, they engaged their machinery - both at admin & political level for recovery of the girl.
And the answer of the second question is easier than the first one. West Bengal BJP was pushed to the sideline over their apathetic attitude regarding the Tuktuki Mandal abduction case. State BJP leaders, on record, refused to be part of #SaveTuktuki4mGazi movement as they were busy to appease minorities at Parui and Sattor. After consolidation of Hindu sentiments mobilized by Hindu Samhati, they were forced to make some gesture. Yesterday and even today morning, they claimed to meet the Governor regarding Tuktuki's case and went to Magrahat - village of Tuktuki Mandal. In the mean time, High Court took cognizance of the petition filed by Subhas Mandal, the father of Tuktuki Mandal, as per advise of Tapan Ghosh. After hearing of the case, the court directed the police to find and produce the victim before the court on 27 July. This judgement left Rahul Sinha & his team totally shattered. They realized that they had missed the opportunity. So, they cancelled the meeting with the Governor, as that would not yield any result, and started dharna at Mograhat. Though during dharna, at first, they tried to hide the identity of the abductor as revealing his identity could have become a blot on their SECULAR charecter but later, under pressure of social media, they were compelled to mention the name. In such circumstances, they were left with no choice at all but cheap publicity to save their face. That led them to claim the credit for the recovery so that they can get automatic support of consolidated Hindus mobilized by Hindu Samhati.
The best part of the story is the realization of power of Hindu unity. This is an epoch making moment in the history of West Bengal when consolidated Hindu votes have forced political parties to act in their favour.
